Pottery pieces typically take about 3-4 weeks to create. Having thrown a pot on the wheel, it has to air dry for about a week before it can be bisque-fired (to 1000C for 10 hours). Each piece is then glazed and fired again to a temperature of 1230C for 12 hours. It takes 48 hours for the kiln to cool down enough to remove the items. All pots can be used in the oven and microwave.
Workshops and courses for people of all ages can also be arranged.
Have a look at the Gallery section. This will give you an idea of the style and the glaze colours on offer. Please get in touch if you would like to make an order (starfishpotter@gmail.com). Thank you!
